1792 U.S. Federal Bond Signed by George Washington Will Be Auctioned

A rare and important 1792 U.S. Federal bond, signed by George Washington will be auctioned in October by Archives International Auctions. This bond measures 173/4 inches by 51/2 inches. This kind of certificates was the first securities traded on New York Stock Exchange after it was founded in 1792. One of the known examples is in the Museum of American Finance and the other in the George Washington University Library.
