Christie’s Debuted in Mainland China – Antique News

Christie’s conducted its inaugural sale in mainland China on Thursday. The sale included 42 lots of art, jewelry, watches and wine and brought $25 million. One of the highlights is the 1969 oil painting “Homme Assis” by Pablo Picasso. It was sold for $1.9 million, which almost double its pre-auction estimate.
